I I found this caught my attention with plenty of action and beyond my imagination Good plot and characters. I enjoyed this latest book and recommend it.

The Last Station (The Predecessors) is a bold statement from Blair C. Howard, marrying scientific precision with speculative grandeur. It may be dense and cerebral, but for those drawn to narratives where humanity’s evolution is both literal and existential, it’s a thrilling journey. Highly recommended for thoughtful sci‑fi readers ready to contemplate what lies beyond the stars.

The Last Station (The Predecessors Book 1)

This book started a bit slowly, but it quickly generated a lot of action, with vivid descriptions that kept me pinned to the story. Strong characters showed outstanding responses to the various new attack wrinkles from the Enemy forces, although several times repetitive comments (as well as an over-use of “quantum”) got in the way and slowed the presentation. Overall, a better than average debut sci-fi effort. I’m looking forward to the next episode in this promising series.

The Last Station (The Predecessors Book 1)

War rages in the depths of space to the point of extinction. Two opposing philosophies can't seem to find common ground. Strange forces seem to draw some people with enhanced abilities to a point in space. Pursuit by enemies and dealing with internal saboteurs, Drake and her crew do what is necessary to progress. Hopefully they evolve to a point where they can access the Predecessors' cache of advancement opportunities left for them. This is straight out forward-thinking sci-fi. Could this possibly happen. In the day of hand-crank phones, no one would have thought that phone capability would be what it is now. I think this is one of Blair's best works yet!
